I am excited to host the first annual Holland Cup at Cobblestone Creek Country Club in Rochester, NY! The Holland Cup was named after me as my middle name is Holland! What a honor!!! Myself and the greater Rochester area are excited to host this fundraising event and I am thrilled to have this incredible opportunity!
The Holland Cup is part of a unique junior tournament series called the Cobra Puma State Cup Series. This is part of the AJGA's Leadership Links program to further develop young men and women both on and off the golf course.
While I will get to participate in a really fun Ryder Cup style tournament, my goal is to also learn important life skills through fundraising for some very important charities. My goal is to raise at least $1,000 for the following charities:
Society for the Protection and Care of Children - this charity is focused on meeting the needs of children and families facing a variety of hardships and traumas.
The AJGA's ACE Grant Program - is dedicated to providing financial assistance for juniors that have the ability to play golf at the national level, but lack the financial resources to do so.
The Charles Lea Center Foundation - this center is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those with disabilities and special needs.

ABOUT
DAVIS PETTY
A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Davis began his title run in the Upstate, where he practices daily at courses like The Creek Golf Club, Musgrove Mill and more. The routine starts with a hundred balls at the driving range, then it’s off to the putting green. Some days he even follows it up with a full round of 18, something he did often ahead of the championship at Pinehurst in North Carolina in 2020 where he won Worlds.
Despite his immense natural ability and immediate love for the sport, Petty doesn’t come from a golfing background. His father Joel was a baseball player at Lander. Davis's parents bought their 1-year-old son a Wiffle ball and bat and he began placing the ball on the ground and swinging the bat like a golf club, even then displaying a pretty sweet stroke. They then gifted him a plastic set of clubs and the rest is history.
